Half the reason I am worried about the PS3 is that once the PS3 servers go down in what 10 years or so I will lose half my game collection because it is digital. Farther generations of consoles will just keep getting worse and worse.
I hate to say it but the way the gaming community is headed makes me want to really worry about not being a gamer anymore. Not out of want to but out of necessity to own things I pay for. This isnt like buying a NES and carts where you own everything you buy, its becoming renting time and space to play said games.
Just my opinion on observations Ive made.

I been trying to tell people that for the last 2 years.
Do not buy PSN related DLC "You do not own it & Sony falsely advertises the BUY/Purchase button. It is not "BUY" ,every item on PSN//SEN, = "Rent" as long as you need Sony ,they are in control & you need them to activate". Do people remember what happened when PSN want down for a few days ?
All my games turned into DEMOS !. what does that tell people = DRM should be destroyed ,by real non corrupt lawmakers ! This is a 100% legit reason why to turn to CFW ,own your DLC .Do not let Sony screw you & if you are someone that says i will not need them later .It do not natter as you said it is not like SNES/NES,etc where you actually own your console/games..
I could not make a decision. I wanted to say buy none cause i have boycott Sony for 2 years now, they are ignorant & controlling & corporate suing thugs. I might buy one PS3 in hope it will be hacked but i believe if none hacked the PS3 fully for installing CFW on OFW ,i do not see this dream happening on PS4.
So that is why i bought 5 PS3s & they will always be my precious
. All i need my PS3 on CFW & everything Home Brew XMS App, everything else that goes with CFW to be happy. There are still tons of games that can be played
I will only buy a PS4 in hope for hacked & i know brand new in box will hold value so i may buy a few. I will never support Sony with DLC again i can say that...
