Worked fine here. What exactly is the difference between renaming the core and replace the snes9x core itself? The old core.self is the prboom core.

Sorry for the questions (and for the usual broken english), but I like to understand the logic behind these emulators.
When you first run Retroarch, It will search it's USRDIR for a core.self and then it renames it, e.g core.self becomes snes9x_next.self.

When compiling retroarch, it names the core as core.self. I then have to manually rename each core to the proper name before compiling the next. The last one compiled is left as CORE.SELF

As all that was needed was the Snes core, That's all I compiled
