SO THAT'S HOW YOU DO IT!
and all this time I was just plugging the controller into the other usb port hoping it would switch to 2... The option to reassign the controller does not work, at least with IrisManager 1.53 on rogero 4.30.
Anyway, I will report back in a day or two and let you guys know if all those games I listed will support saving and all the SLXX- codes.
