Been playing the game for about 20 hours now:

1. Copied the game to my external hdd and installed it from there and played 6 hours without any freezes, but experiences the lag some people report when leaving a battle in the overworld.
2. Copied the game from my external hdd to the internal but faced loads of game freezes. However, the lag when leaving an overworld battle disappeared.
3. Copied the game back to the external hdd and no freezes or audio lags at all. The overworld battle lag is back again.

I guess that (not sure if this has been mentioned in the thread earlier), when the game is stored on the internal hdd, it loads the resources way to fast and a racing condition betwheen the SPU and the IO thread appears, but when the game is loaded from the external, limited by the transfer speed of the USB2.0 interface, the racing condition is most likely not to happen...

I have had similar freezes on other games stored on the internal hdd as well. Not sure if I tried them externally though.
