And METHOD 1 in Chapter 2 of my guide, is still not on the wiki page.
The guide was not the problem here anyway. If you read the posts in this thread, the cause was a picky usb drive.
The console was never bricked. The PS3 will shut off by itself at that step, if it does not find the Lv2diag.self to know what function to call.
The guide also has a lot of references to the ps3devwiki. Because it is a great site and has a lot of information. But if someone wants to follow a guide, that will help them step by step and has someone to answer their questions about what they don't understand, who are you to say that they shouldn't.

Thanks for letting me know! It souned like a brick lol and I didn't know the PS3 would shut off only for a Lvl2Diag.self missing
In what I remember, it would just turn on and ask me to plug the controller, like in a recovery mode
