A friend of mine died a couple years after being tazed by police. He was 22 years old and relatively healthy. What's even worse is that he was unarmed and was backing up with his palms up to the police. There were 3 or 4 officers on the scene. He was tazed for 33 consecutive seconds which sent him into cardiac arrest and he died. A special prosecutor was brought in to asses the case. He later cleared officers of any wrong doing.I think it's sad that four adult male officers were so afraid to physically restrain one 22 year old kid that they resorted to tasing him. Here is news video footage of the incident.

People think tasers are a safe alternative to physical altercations but they are not. There are lots of taser related deaths each year here in the United States. Most of them are police related.

As a grown man I don't see it necessary to hit or taser an unarmed woman. He could have easily walked away. It doesn't look like he was in any real harm anyways.
