He later cleared officers of any wrong doing.I think it's sad that four adult male officers were so afraid to physically restrain one 22 year old kid that they resorted to tasing him. Here is news video footage of the incident.

Your body of evidence is a he said she said from the family of the victim? Where's this 33 seconds of consecutive tazing and the evidence that he did nothing to resist arrest? Do you have the police footage showing what really happened or are basing your evidence on the non-witness that is the family. "We spoke to 7 witnesses who said they used excessive force, none of them would speak on camera"
Easy to cast stones from the dark. Easy to blame everyone else in a tragic loss like this.
Also it didn't SEEM like he was a threat, I can tell you that drunk people SEEM a lot of things, but safe is not one of them. Did the officers have any idea that he was unarmed, no probably not. You tell the family of an officer when he dies because some drunk idiot sticks a bunch of times with a knife when it SEEMS like he's unarmed.
Officers take extreme precaution because they have too. You don't cooperate and listen to their instructions they will put you down. It doesn't matter if you have a logical, clear story as to why you were doing what they think you were doing, it is not the time nor the place to explain. Follow instructions and you will get your time to say your piece.
We don't live in a country where people "disappear" into the system so there is NO reason for these people to even be a little bit cautious of what the officer is doing. More often than not these people are too DRUNK to even realize what they are doing and end up thinking that they have a right to argue their case then and there, its not...it never is.
Oh and more importantly this chick had it coming. This guy showed HUGE restraint for ages before acting...they had every opportunity to walk away from HIS business. Where was he supposed to go? She just kept coming back.
