I think this thread should have been put in "downgrading & Flashing". If some moderator wants to move it, fine with me.
I have looked through the programming and flashing files and now I have more questions please. I hope I'm posting this in the right place.
I'm kind of new at this but I'm a retired elec. tech. and kind of looking forward to working on my PS3 CECH 20xxx with 4 31 firmware. I think all i need is an E3 flasher? I have been checking around and there is a lot of different prices on E3 flashers. Some as low as $60.00 and some as high as $200.00. Some packages appear to have included an external hard drive enclosure for a 2.5 " hard drive. Is that what it is or is it something special? If it's just an enclosure, I have one. Is there a difference in E3 flashers? Do I need a special one to downgrade 4.31 firmware than one for 4.30 firmware?? No offense intended but I would appreciate answers from people who are sure of themselves. not guesses.
