You mention a valid point. There have been several times where GameStop has advertised a preorder bonus that they either neglected to give out, or one that was included with the game regardless of whether or not you did preorder. Also I have been in WalMart on the day of a release and got preorder bonuses with any type of preorder.

Here we have a game store called G2K games and if you are lucky enough to be near one I highly suggest stopping by and checking out their store. The first time I walked in that place the employee asked if I needed help and I replied no I was just looking because I have never been in before. Even knowing I wasn't going to purchase anything he still took time to show me everything they offered in the store. Comics, manga, Magic: The Gathering tournaments, retro console and games available for these consoles, deals on new games during the first week of release, their rewards program is lifetime and free, almost every used game is cheaper their than at gamestop, they are fair with trade in value on both store credit and cash values, and to top it all off they have a machine that they use to offer a disc resurfacing service. You can get 5 discs repaired for $4. Oh and the main thing.... if the employees have any fanboy tendencies they leave them at the door when they walk in. Both of my local gamestops are full of fanboys. The gamestop closest to me is full of 360 fanboys and will openly talk trash on PS3 and the next one is full of PS3 fanboys. The second one is a little better about not pointing out flaws about the consoles they dont like but I hate even walking into the one closest to me. So what if I want a ps3 game? Did you go to work for me?

I can understand and even at times respect the type of business, but I have a hard time seeing how it is right that you buy a brand new just released game, decide you dont like it, take it to trade in 2 weeks after release, they give you $15, but turn around and resell it for $55. IMO they should at least give you half of what they sell it for.

I have to agree with @BobbyBangin . I do not want to see an anti used system put in place for consoles. If this does happen I dont think I will purchase another console. I am already at the point where I am probably going to stick to my PC, but the dirtier these gaming stores (mainly gamestop) and console manufacturers get (fanboy remark....mainly Sony) will push me to just start building a cheap PC for my kids every few years. It isn't anti used that bothers me, but more the fact that I cant take my game to friends house and play it unless I tie it to an account. What if my friend doesnt have an internet connection? I don't want to see the used games market die, but I wouldn't mind seeing Gamestop get knocked of their high horse

Damn you gamestop for buying EB. I don't know how many of you remember, but how many of you guys remember the real EB. Electronics Boutique. That store was amazing. You could buy PC parts for gaming PCs and many other things besides games. They later chose the route of gaming stores and were eventually bought by Gamestop. They have been going downhill since
