There is a lot of already answered posts .
You must be on firmware 3.55 or lower in order to install CFWs (custom firmware) released by now .
So you must first post your PS3 model number (something like CECH-2006a or other ) and your datecode (both can be found on the back of your PS3) also in what firmware you are on in order to know your answer .
