MM will not run games from External that have files larger than 4 GB in size it will automatiucally copy these files to the internal drive before mounting the game. it will then use both internal and external. there is only one way to fix this that doesn't cost money. you have to set up Multiman to use an NTFS drive which supports files bigger than 4 GB. Alternatively you can buy a cobra USB dongle and shove it up your arse.
