So my statement isn't entirely untrue because without flasher you cant go from 4.31 ofw straight to 4.31 cfw.
And my point was "many people are just lazy"
and why put them in more difficult position to install a flasher just to update to 4.31 CFW (which we know isn't easy for noobs and they are the majority of ps3 scene ) , when "the noob" could just stay on 3.55 CFW and enjoy the same features or he could decide to update from 3.55 to 4.31 or downgrade (only using software way).
