If you load multiman at any point and start iris right after, you'll get that outdated syscall message forcing you to reboot.
As for the black screen...I'm on rebug 4.30 and no problems, it's better to do a clean install of iris as updating over the previous version might cause problems.

I have updated over the previous version since 1.42 with no problems (I just deleted the ps1_emu and ps1_netemu from Iris folder). This would be an unexpected solution...

snkysnake02 This black screen problem happened to a friend of mine running 1.60 b4, he was using Rebug 4.21 REX. After updating to Rogero 2.05 everything is working fine. Maybe a problem with the 1.60b4 release + Rebug CFW? The problem persists on Iris 2.0?
