The problem is caused by an unreadable drive board. This means the drive firmware is unreadable for some reason. It could just be a loose cable or the drive board may be dead. Check the connections from the drive daughterboard to the motherboard and make sure everything looks right. Just make sure you don't update or you will be stuck in a semi-bricked state.
