This is my first post on this forum, an I don't have my PS3's box open (it's for Christmas)...

What about the spot on the PCB that is called LED5, has anyone looked into just surface mounting an LED there?

Didn't anyone think Sony might have been thinking of putting an LED in but decided not to for some reason...
