It's the hypervisor that's limiting things and preventing code from being run
I know, but I was referring to having more resources to find flaws, after all the 360 had a hypervisor but one version had a flaw which allowed homebrew (to some degree)

Your assuming they want linux just for their personal use. Some may do it for the "fun of it" or for personal interest.
