This is a super complicated way to do this, an easier way is just solder wires to the actual USB connection, and pull the wires through the back, its similar to making a USB HUB/extension, just dont charge 10 things at a time on your PS3 and you should be fine.
It seems what this guy is doing is actually creating USB ports, which is not really necessary.
