IDK- geohot claims he got distracted by some new jailbait ting 4 d yphone. now with the proxy blok he needs to run ALL new tests. wish i knew were he lived, i'd help him or hurt him, whatever it took to get this BS resolved. he even admitted this cluster is because of him. wen the "next-next gen" consoles come out, i wanna ask him which one he's gonna hack, so i know to buy the other. if he hadn't gone to the BBC & said "yo i'm billy bad@$$, i cracked this fools code" WE WOULDNT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS & US OTHEROS USERS WOULDA BEEN LEFT ALONE!!! can u tell i'm angry? seriously geohot fired the 1st shot, $ony fired the 2nd, now WE ALL caught in a crossfire in a war that had nuthin to do w/us

I can tell your angry, but tbh iPhone 4.0 would be his main concern, as that's what he is best known for and knows more about it. Also, hacking the PS3 is just a side project for him (full time for others) Still, it cant have been easy. Sure you can say that perhaps leaving the OtherOS alone, would have been a better idea, but someone else would of just come along and tried to do the same. You have to give him credit for getting us this far.

Would be nice if he followed it through to the end, without getting distracted ah well : \ Just give it some time, im sure he will pull through (he's proven his success already with the CFW demo which is on YouTube) If what he's done for the iPhone scene is anything to go by, we have a lot to look forward to :D

Don't you think this was what Sony wanted after all? I mean think about it the PS3-Slim never had OtherOS even tho the Hardware is able to support it. The Classic PS3 was imported under "Computer-terms" because of the OtherOS witch dodged taxes that way.

So for all we know Sony never had any plans with OtherOS and removing it in the Slim was quite a weird choice wasn't it? That GeoHot hacked it trough linux would only be for full hardware support in linux not for CFW. Sony wasn't going to let this chance slip to remove OtherOS from the old systems figuring the majority of people would blame GeoHot anyway.

So my best bet is that Sony just took advantage of this to point at GeoHot that "forced" them to do this. So just be happy that GeoHot chooses to make an CFW out of the principle that what you paid for is what you get, unlike Sony does.

allright i give you that much, but do consider this: he went to the BBC with this, which in turn got ran on CNN, then both clips probably got played in a dark (think emperor palpatine-ish) room @$ONY HQ, & i think we all know what happened next. if geohots had just kept things on the D-low, waited until he had his "hello world" moment w/ the system, maybe even write some CFW like the PSP's cfw, then just posted it all on the ps3dev wiki, or maybe here (shameless plug), then $ONY woulda had a whole new cluster to deal with that couldn't be dealt with by just killin otherOS. & anything they did do woulda already had counters in play. it's like the difference between waiting till your army's all gathered, sneeking into the enemy camp @ night, & killin every1 in their sleep, or waiting for 1/2 d army 2 show, every1 shoots a flare gun into the air, & starts a college-fraternity size party 50 yards from the enemy camp @ night. wich of these 2 did geohot do? i'l b cool, but i'm just sayin both sides r doin it wrong

Erm wii game iso's can go online. Its down to the network owners to decide wether to block, ban or do nothing, M$ ban for playing backed up games online, $ony appear to be about to adopt a similar strategy, but Nintendo dont block or ban.

Wii Games - 99% Disney's twinky games and OH the rest is just UBISOFT and has so many bugs you never get to the end (Red Steel).

When Wii was launched Europe I had allmost all games available in Europe and the US - Guess what? None of them were any good ..

Wii is like a trampoline - It's just amazing 5 minutes until you start to get tired, and then you ****ing hate that thing and it's noisy WiiMote sounds and buttplug-alike Nunchuck-me-up ..
