After contacting Consumer Direct and explaining the situation I was told to send them a letter and what to put in the letter and send it recorded delivery. I also got the same response.
I have already informed consumer direct of their response and I'm waiting for my local trading standards to ring me back. Sony and Game can try to intimidate individuals into believing they can do nothing about this but I can't imagine class action law suits are filed if there is little chance of winning and the people I've spoke to at consumer direct seem very 'supportive'. Sony MUST not be allowed to get away with this otherwise we will no longer own the products we buy. |

Well I really don't want a refund if it has to come from a retailer. I want a refund from Sony, and Sony alone. Retailers aren't to blame here.

Agree, retailers aren't to blame but it's the only way we can get at the manufactuer here in the UK. It seems our only way is through the Sale Of Goods Act 1979.
IF retailers have to refund 1000's of users do you think they'd be so keen to stock Sony PlayStations in the furture which will affect Sony. |
