I juste compared loading times from this video with my original Uncharted 2 loaded by my BD drive. It lasts SEVERAL seconds longer with the HD in the video than with my BD drive!

dont you think some of the money is well disurfed? I know it's ridiculously high priced but it proberbly took weeks/months to make it and a lot of money to get the jig.

still hope for a free selution but also think its a bit fair they get money to.

I don't know what is on that chip, but whatever it is, it had to have files transferred to it via PC. Also I heard on a previous post that when the dongle was plugged into a PC nothing happened. I dont understand nothing happening, not even an option to format the device? Yea right, its not big circuitry we are talking here. That device probably just has some files on it. Far as I know ps3 can only read usb drives that have been formatted via fat32. So basically its a USB. Also if it is complicated meaning soldering on the chip (which i do not see from the pics) they will not be able to mass produce it but so fast. Seems like they got a wholesale from custom usb flash drive company and put files on the drive. For those who are familiar with the nintendo wii WBFS program (which is not recognized by any PC's OS), i think this is sort of the same thing. As you see in the vid, the manager file is used to install the Backup Manager, but the USB stick is used to set the PS3 into Debug Mode, so it gotta be something special with the USB itself
