Hey Pirate. Should I attempt this on my Pixi with Dev mode on? Or you think it won't work? Pre and Pixi are extremely similar.

Pirate posts a tutorial for the pre and I still see people with 1 to 2 posts whining about droids and iDevices and blah blah blah. Please stay on topic as this is a tutorial thread dealing with the Palm Pre. Asking for a port will not get you one any quicker. Any and all ports are gifts.

See I asked this earliar and in theory it should work. My girlfriend has a pixi and I plan on trying today or tomorrow.

Let me know what you come up with, maybe different steps involved. If you hit a wall maybe we can collaberate.

EDIT: Actually I looked at the original PSX-scene thread.. he posted pixi files too at the bottom.
Not sure if it is patched for backup manager though.

Edit again: He just upped the patched version for pixi.. Been having trouble in the terminal though.

Edit 3: The Pixi Version isn't functional yet as it uses a different protocol. They are working on a workaround.

Please Help

Just got done extracting and moving the cross compiler files and now my phone keep resetting the cell service. Where did I go wrong? I'll WebOS doctor it, then try again, It said in the terminal that the device didn't have enough space for some of the files during the extraction, I have the Palm Pre from Sprint, Is this mod only for the "Plus" from Verizon?

Works perfect on my Palm Pre minus from Sprint I had it lying around since June when I upgraded to a HTC EVO sure glad I keep it. You only need one file psfreedom.ko its only 157kb then use terminal type insmod /media/internal/psfreedom.ko thats it real easy

Help

so

insmod: error inserting '/media/internal/psfreedom.ko' : -1 file exists

I'm assuming that means the file has been inserted into the kernal so that's why I'm getting the error?

Also is there a specific USB dongle required? I've got a working USB stick that typically my ps3 can view content from, after loading the manger.pkg when I turn on the ps it doesn't load anything from the USB.. "no tiles found" so can't install / load manager??

Help please
