Minimus AVR & Open Backup Manager
I flashed the above board with the originally-released v1 HEX file. I now want to flash it with the new Hermes v3 so I can take advantages of the new features.
Is it simply a matter of following the same process with flashing a HEX file? I read somewhere that you have to put the minimum board in a different mode? Also, I've got Backup Manager installed and want to transfer over to Open Manager as this seems to be the best overall option now. Can you just install Open Manager alongside Backup Manager or does Backup Manager have to be removed? I've got games on an internal and external drive, so is there anything I need to do with these, i.e. put them in a different directory other than LAUN12345? heartagram_616 - everything you need with the Minimus can be found here:
http://www.minimususb.com/ I've just come across it and although you the board comes ready to flash you do have to put it back into a mode for re-flashing - but it's really easy and described in the manual. If you've not flashed it with a HEX file yet, grab the Hermes v3 one. Now all I need to to know is whether I can have Backup Manager and OpenManager installed at the same time. I ready somewhere that you couldn't. ************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* OK, may have found the answer. Looks like you can have the different backup managers installed at the same time. If you've got Backup Manager installed and then install OpenManager, then OpenManager asks you what directory your games are in, so you just point it to the directory that Backup Manager uses. Looks like you need to be careful about removing Backup Manager if you end up only using OpenManager. If you delete Backup Manager, you need to move the games to the OpenManager equivalent or they'll be removed. |
