A tool known as ProDG for the PS3 has been leaked today. Before I go on, most of you be asking "wtf is this".

To quote:

SN Systems' product ProDG for PlayStation®3 consists of an advanced suite of tools for building, debugging and tuning console games. Continuous development based on customer feedback ensures we keep pace with your demands.

The following components are included:

* Debugger
* Tuner
* Target Manager
* Microsoft Visual Studio integration

The file name is ProDGforPlayStation3v310.3.0.rar for those who are interested, this is obviously copyright material so no posting download links.

Visual Studio integration eh?
"PlayStation®3 project AppWizards are provided for ELF files and libraries. Any feature natively available in Visual Studio is available to use in your PlayStation®3 project, for example, Source Safe controls."
As it says in their site, so creating progs for the ps3 will be substantially easier and of course less buggy and I guess something similar to XNA for Ps3, alot of PC programmers can get in on the Ps3 through this... Exiting stuff!

Give it a week or less and a new flood of homebrew apps are going to hit this site so fast that I won't be able to refresh my browser once or twice a day and read it all!

Won't be long now until we're playing awesome homebrew goodness on our PS3s.

hm.... is it just me or is it weird how most of the stuff we need just automatically gets leaked within a few days or weeks? Its as if someone inside of Sony Corporation was giving out info to us. Kinda like a Robin hood

Well now theres a use for it, so if theres demand someone's bound to come up with the supply :P

This comes from the usual hate circles. Let's not use the SDK and not get any development done, yea right...

Since XBOX 1 days the OFFICIAL SDK's have always been superior than the homebrew ones.

Excluding: Gamecube/Wii/DS/Most nintendo products in general...

We need to see more dev leaks and stop the BS.

evertroy you obviously didnt check it out or you would have seen that it needs and uses the sdk from what i see it will make it more friendly to people already versant in visual studio
