There are various HEX files or PORTS you should be using to jailbreak your PS3. You should be always using the most "stable" or latest version.

Not ALL the tutorials are updated to the LATEST version, so you need to do some research and make sure your using the latest version for best results + features + stability.

The best place to find updates on latest HEX/PSGroove version is on the homepage.

To clarify a few points:

• Hex FILES are mainly for USB Boards
• Ports are for devices such as TI-84, iPhone, iPod, Android Phones etc etc..
• Hex files are ALWAYS updated faster than ports, that is why it is recommended to get a USB Board

Thanks to developer xoeo for releasing the payload with PSN and online play, fl0PPsy for compiling the Rockbox files that supports PSN and 3.50 spoofing, and DJLO for compiling these .hex files for PSN and 3.50 spoofing.
The SPOOFING feature will trick the PS3 games into thinking that you are running firmware 3.50 on your system.
