Hardware compaitbility question... - PS3Hax Network

I purchased an AT90USB162 device on eBay. It took forever to arrive because of customs issues, and the vendor and all traces of the auction have been removed by eBay over some violation, so I can no longer reference the item description. I don't think the data would be there anyway. Here's the question, which one of the numerous AT90USB162 hexes do I flash? Does it matter? Is there a way to tell if it's 8Mhz or 16Mhz? The device is also in a sealed case. I can break the case open, but I'd rather not. It appears to already be in DFU mode to me. Can I just try a hex and if it doesn't work reflash with a different hex?

Okay. I'm impatient.

I went ahead and cracked the device open. Here's an image:

Sorry that the chips aren't readable. I'm not much of a macro photographer. However, the crystal clearly says 16Mhz. Can anyone identify it for me and point me in the direction of which unit this is? Blackcat, Teensy, etc?

I don't think it matters but at90usb162 uses 16mhz, i own at90usb162, use the hex with 16mhz it will work.

Thanks for the reply. I believe it will work with anyone of the 16mhz versions. Blackcat, Teensy, etc.
