Honestly I have no idea why so many of these dongles exist. You can jailbreak/downgrade with an iPod/iPhone/MP3 player/psp/a CALCULATOR... it's impossible that you don't already have one of these things lying around your house.

Even I'VE got one.

For me Rockbox is the best because you can just put all the payloads AND the downgrader on it and just choose which one you want to load and boot into it. Same with the iPod/iPhone... AND you can play MP3s (and with mine you can even listen to the radio.)

So I don't see the point in blowing... even 12 bucks... on something most people already have. (You can put rockbox on anything.)

People are different from person to person , some people may not have any devices you mentioned , or some people feel it is inconvenient to jailbreak their ps3 with phones since they need it all the time , there must be some reasons these things remain . Of course , you decide yourself .

Everybody mentions phones... but it's not just phones. It's phones, mp3 players, the psp, calculators.

I think it's more a matter of people not KNOWING... or not understanding... that the thing they need to jailbreak their ps3 is probably laying around their house.

They just see the advertisement for like the E3 Card Reader and think "Oh! This is what I need!"

My Sansa c200 with Rockbox is the best jailbreak device I can imagine. I have EVERY PAYLOAD on it and i can load any of them by just pressing a few buttons (and I can listen to the radio while I'm doing it.)

Its 20 bucks, bbut I think if you dont want to wait 2 weeks or so, is a good option
