Another update is out for your Rogero backup manager. The new update adds various support/stability fixes, and integrates the Lv2_Patcher v5/6 (that we told you about here).

Well something messed up for me somewhere when I was updating my Slim's HDD to a 640GB.

See after i put in the new drive, I get everything set up fine, re-installing the official firmware, then the CFW. Test LVL 2 patcher and Rogero worked fine.

So I decide to restore my old data off the old drive. After it completed the restore I was on the official firmware again, only the LVL 2 patch still worked, and so did Rogero. I didnt have an error and didnt realize until after I got out of the test it was on Official Firmware.

Now either that is a total fluke, an impossibility gone probable.

Or the firmware # just changed to the official Sony one and the CFW was still there in the background.

Any thoughts?

You only really need the CFW to install the packages. As long as they are already installed, they should work fine on ANY Firmware, including the normal firmware from sony.
