How much would a Cell Processor cost you, if you had one in a pc tower?

they are not available to the end user. even if they were i doubt very much you would be able to afford one to be used in your pc.

haha..

You're probably more then right!

I could see it saying 10,000 or 8,000 dollars retail price..

Would you guys know if where are getting any news about homebrew or anything.

Seems like multi-man upgraded a lot and the Cort Geo-hot and hackers case keeps gettting put up, on the news. Multi-Man has never worked for me, I'd personally love a Theme update for Gaia Manager being its the best out there.

(I dunno, but.. The Cort Case and Geo-Hot kinda bore me - Since geohot didn't really even hack the ps3. In theory, to what Firmware mod he did make it wasn't able to make it where you could back up games.. BUT.. There was a torrent flying around that let you install PSN GAMES with Geo-Hotz Firmware)
and

'Maybe a workable update to FBANext PS3 Version (2.00) "Maybe" for more game support'?

Why no emulators or anything new?

Well, heres hoping we'll have better downlods and news on linux and emulators very soon.

I bet, I've used Ubuntu on the pc fully working and man it made my life rough trying to get the sound and video to all work correctly and learning commands and such. My USB PC LINK sound was a hard one to get working.

I never could get ZSNES to work though..

Probably because my pc is a peace of junk from 2002.

the entire systems does not use ram in a traditional way, each of the 7 cores has cached memory and I think some said it had additional memory on each of the CPUS. I f I am wrong please correct me..

So, I exaggerated slightly. YDL 6.1 that I was using needed an edit to the repos.d file.
An easy copy/paste job thanks to the YDL forums to add the bodega repos from Fedora. An optional RAM swap disk method could be done with an easy copy/paste also, but was not essential for SDL MAME to run. You then simply typed -su yum install sdlmame or even use the rather excellent GUI package manager. My guess is you never used YDL. This scene can keep battling away with Debian/Ubuntu all it wants, I'm waiting until I can install a linux distro made with the PS3 in mind. One where I don't have to re-compile everything.
