Thanks for this tuto Evil_intentions, just like you i'm experimenting to make pcmods compatible with ps3.
Have you tried the manual version of Invanlidate invalidation file?? creating a dummy BSA that loads before any other original BSA?? Have you seen this before? Its for FO3 but maybe it gives you some ideas: -------------------- To everyone trying to get textures to load, you MUST be playing on a external HDD. Theres also something in the .ini* you need to edit. Search this in the FALLOUT.INI (/PS3_GAME/USRDIR) sEssentialFileCacheListE= Make it into this sEssentialFileCacheListE=DATA/SYSUTIL/*.PNG, DATA/ICON0.PNG, DATA/PIC1.PNG Once you're done, make sure you are playing on the external HDD DELETE your gamedata, then REUPDATE. ------------------------------------------------------------ Last edited by gan10; 03-05-2011 at 01:32 AM. ya, i filled the invalidation text file with character texture paths and stuck the file in nearly every directory in the save data and disc data of the game and tried one of the body replacement mods (both in packed form and extracted in data folder). Game ran fine, but still used the original textures.

Warning: BSA-redirection relies on date precedence to override the textures BSA. This is generally not a problem, since most mod files are more recent than the standard Bethesda ones. Still, if you run into problems with some textures not loading, you may want to check the dates on the files. All replacement files must be dated more recently than the associated BSA file. If they're not, you can either give the BSA an older date or give the replacements a more recent date. Useful tools for doing this include FileDate Changer (for changing specific dates on specific files) and RTouch (for recursively changing the dates on a lot of files). Source: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki...ivion_Mods_FAQ I got YLOD day before yesterday so i cant continue experimenting, but please take a shot a this and please share your results, aaah i want HGCE BBB on my PS3!!! |

As a separate experiment, I've also tried the bsa redirection thing where one places a dummy file in sarchives of Oblivion.ini. Also had no effect on replacing textures. I'm out of ideas.
