I love the stuff. I used it for xbox 1 modding

cnc cut it or use a craft knife into any design you like.

EL sheets sound cool, Ive used EL wire before (in my car not on a console) and it looks really good but never EL sheets.
What are they like to work with, are they expensive?

they are pretty much the same to work with as the wire but flat obviously.

as long as you leave part of the sheet connected to another it will light up fine.
the inverter obviously is the same as the wire so theres no differences in voltage etc.

as for price, the last time i used any was in the xbox 1 days and at that time was quite expensive but im sure they are cheaper now

Wow...the prices on that website certainly don't make EL sheets look very cheap...$30 for the inverter, $34 for one sheet of the stuff, $20 design fee, $10 shipping fee, and they don't even list a price for printing the design...I guess my PS3 won't be getting that mod.

lol, that sites just an example. there are many many other places.
check eBay. also DIY is a lot cheaper.

it cost around £30 in total for inverter + sheet from ebay

edit. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Flexible-Elect...item19c3ca65d2

that's an example
