i installed it, and it installed
but i still don't know what the hell i'm suppose to do with it. tried running simple "makefile" and "mkdir" and nothing happened, says, "no command found" someone needs to make a freakin real tutorial on just how to use this stuff instead of copy and pasting crap that doesn't help anyone that was copy and pasted by someone else elsewhere in the first place... |

few commands are "cd .." (go up one folder) "ls" (list folders/files in current folder) also "make" and "makepkg" if it messes up "make clean" if you put your hombrew source folders in: C:\devkitpro\msys\home\administator\ it will be listed when you start it up.

still get errors on "ls"
if i'm putting all my tools and exec in that folder then what's the purpose of all the other folders and libs in the package? should not all those commands work without them having to be in the very folder i'm working in? sounds like a waste of a lot of space imo, nor does it make any sense. and i know it surely doesn't need all those files just to load considering msys is hardly anything... i've tried every gui and program for windows and none of them have ever made a pkg for me, always errors. either compiling or won't install. but this command line stuff is just about as useless sometimes. we could probably expand on the amount of homebrew and exploit possibilities if some other devs would really explain how to use all the stuff they put out. there's no point in all the secrecy really. and that's the truth of the matter, a bunch of people trying to keep others out of the scene--it won't work forever |

google "evilsperm sdk" if you dont mind ubuntu virtual box setup..
what i did was grab both , add the psl1ght sdk image as a slave hdd.. so @ boot of the vm press f12 to select what hdd to boot from: sony's hdd 1 psl1ght-v1 hdd2 , it takes up a LOT of room but the most complete dev set up i have found. as for the lack of info there is some out there just takes a lot of researching also its hard to at the present moment as its all still growing and merging.. but if anyone wants my vm i made pm me its a 3gb microXP with 1.92 setup and all nessesery portable software.. ffox , 7zip , treesize and crimson editor.. lol i've even now set it up so i can right click a folder and open cmd ... type "make" and i get a self.. i just copy the self to usb then i do the rest outside of my vm .self to .pkg.. its the one i use the most.. gonna look at installing psl1ght-v2 into it when its been made stable.

not sure how you would go about turning a vm into a proper installable os.. i guess you'd have to do it from scratch.. install ubuntu then the toolchain , psl1ght and you'd have to setup the system variables.. its a lot of work involved.. i've found using vm's keeps both your dev environment(s) and the host os uncluttered, also if you somehow brake or mess it up , its just a simple matter of unzipping it again.. another good reason is because virtual box will run on any host os .. xp, mac or linux.
