Looks like I spoke too soon about my success. When backing up a game to PS3's HDD the process is stuck at 92% and not moving beyond that.

Any ideas why this is happening?

how many space do you have on your hdd?

It's a 80Gb HD and most of it is free. I only have some game saves.

64 out of 74Gb free.

And wich manager do you use (dont forget to tell the version)

This was 7.9c.

Not I did a full hard drive format, installed 8.2 and this still doesn't help. Not the whole screen resolution becomes corrupted at some point during the copy where everything on the screen becomes extremely large and I cannot see the menus anymore. The buttons work though. I am able to cancel and delete.

hummm...thats a bit odd...
never encounter that problem befor...
Try to delete the rogero manager, and any data from the game. Them go to recovery mode and do the restore files option.

And try the multiman 1.17 + BDEMU

PS: see if your disc game isnt scratch or something.

Interestingly enough, I tried copying another game... Demon's Souls, and that worked perfectly without any problems. I know the GoW disk is fine though because I can play it just fine, so it doesn't make any sense that I cannot back it up. I guess I will try with another manager tomorrow.

Hey guys, I'm a newb with ps3 jailbreaking so hopefully you can help me out... I installed kmeaws 3.55 hack and installed multiman and kmeaws lv2 v9 patch. It took me awhile but i finally figured out that we only needed to copy over 1 folder to the GAMES folder eg: BLES30255, etc... All games show up but they won't load. It just goes back to xml and has no game icon and whenever I go into the apps_home/ps3_games folder it gives me some error. Also tried the BDEMU fix on multiman 1.6 but even after the patch the BD emulator cannot be used error still comes up. Not sure if thats the root of the problem or if I'm missing a step? I know theres a step abotu shadow copying but I don't know exactly what that does and where to copy them from and to. Also I know there are payloads which I'm not sure if I need or not. Please if anyone can help me out I'll paypal some lunch money for the appreciation! lol thanks

you dont need lv2 anymore...the newer managers have lv2 within.
Rogero simply works without anything.
Multiman works with BDEMU installed (and use a original game in your PS3 to simulate a original disc)

the last versions are:
Rogero 8.2
Multiman 1.17

The only folder that you need its "GAMES". All the recent managers reconize that folder. You dont need to do anything manualy...

Ok.... Looks like I spoke too soon again. I installed Multiman, and that one backs up GoW and Demon's souls perfectly fine. However, when trying to load a game, I just get thrown back into XMB.

I tried loading in Rogero, there games that I backed up with MULTIMAN. Because the folder is the same, Rogero recognizes the games, but when trying to lead them, it throws me back into XMB just the same.
