ps3 controller led

just a simple mod i did to my dual shock 3 six axis controller things needed: 3mm led DONT USE 5mm led will cause a big problem as it wont fit right so the controller wont close right *edit guess a 5mm can be used but it kept giving me trouble but the 3mm went in without a snag* solder solder iron i used a 20 watt solder iron with a pencil tip hot glue gun gonna do a rapid fire mod to this as soon as it comes in

nice mod, i have all ready done it but i used a 5mm LED. I had no problems making mine fit. I got mine from Maplin, just google RGB Flash LED.

really i tried with a 5mm led and it kept giving me trouble but as soon as i tried the 3mm it went without a hitch hmm then again i am a n00b when it comes to hardware modding
lol and i got them from ebay i just searched 3mm led rainbow and this guy came up its from the us to ordered them last sat and got them in on monday or tues cheap to 10 for like 5 bucks they even sell 50 for 15 bucks lol heres a link http://cgi.ebay.com/50-x-3mm-Red-Gre...item2562f68a25 |

I believe it was 5 dollars with shipping. The parts at radio shack are pretty cheap. I love that mod. The controllers were meant to have that anyway. I had it on my first dualshock 3 (imported from Japan, got drunk playing CoD and shattered it like a dumba$$)

LOL havent we all buddy i think i have like 4 or 5 in my controller graveyard but yeah i mean it only cost me the led because i already had all the stuff i needed hot glue gun solder iron solder i got the wire from a chopped up usb cable and i stripped it and got the wire works fine sad to report my dam R2 button keeps getting stuck oh well not really a big deal lol my first mod sue me |
