Confirm fix one. Annonymous can't really do ****. He's not as imba as Geohot imo.. if he is imba like that, he could've broken 3.60 ..

/facepalm, you obviously don't know much. Anonymous is just a random collaboration of people from the internet who want to remain obviously anonymous who just cause havoc along with doing good things every once and a while. Pretty much anyone is anon. @wolfie, they only update the servers one server at a time, since they are located in different parts of the world... it's possible it was ddos attack if they got a few thousand people together to do it. Distributed denial of service. Sony also replied they are trying to solve the problem themselves, so either it's a technical error on their part or it's an attack, but anonymous stated they wouldn't distribute anymore attacks due to the inconvenience it's causing to the actual consumer, since sony doesn't care much. Ex. People who've been taken down by anon through ddos and exploiting servers/websites. Dunno what the fuss is. It has been happening a lot lately. I just read this and booted up the ps3. Seems fine here. Downloading the Sonic Adventures from DC right now.
I doubt that Anon. has anything to do with it. They haven't done anything that a child with 1 yr of programming or less could do. Hell, now days you only need the net to show you how to do something simple like ddos attacks. I think if they were to do anything big though, they would be considered terrorists. So lets hope they don't open Pandora's box. Then we will all be terrorist with home-brew lol Well this sux. lol now psn isn't working here also. lol Ah well, I have yard work to do anyway lol. I recall anonymous stating that they would not attack the users of psn. My guess is maintainance.

This type of outage sounds like a lone group attack by some people from Anonymous. The consensus was that they weren't going to attack PSN however due to the leaderless nature of Anonymous, it could be that some people wanted to continue attacking?
How ironic if it's true. An anonymous group within anonymous decided to go against the majority and attack PSN. Anyway, it's the PSN outage is a little annoying because I wanted to link Steam with my PSN account so I can download Portal 2 on PC. |
