how is that possible? sony, once finished with its databases dumps all data and makes backups of that data on their new databases, this is just a spoof to let sony have more dam time. there is no new attack and that database from 2001 is well gone. if databases arent used in 12 months they are auto deleted by the provider

Pirate loved how you put XBL is sounding really good right now. It is really good. I love my ps3 and think it is a far better machine, but Live is a great service. Cross game chat, in game music, and best of all I can stream my music in game. $50 a tyear fpr PS plus, or ~$60 for live? Yeah I think I will use my 360 as an online machine from here on out. Any good Sony exclusive is usually single player. Yes there are exclusive PS3 online experiences, but I wouldn't call most of them good.

That's another thing. The PS3 has 7 SPUs and you can't play a little mp3 while playing a game?. Come on. My Pentium MMX can run Windows XP, play a movie and run the Solitaire.

Why does the title of this news item say 'Another Attack on PSN', PSN didn't exist in 2001 - how is it another attack on PSN?

Also the Reuters news article does not stipulate where the data was from. It could have been a third party organised promotion - a lot of competitions are done in that way.

PSN servers are responding now, rather than timing out - so things are on their way back. I think in other countries a 'week' is Sunday - Saturday, but here our week is considered Monday - Sunday, so we still have two days to go before Sony misses their original target date.

Im so fed up with sony and I have to agree with Bobby the exculsive games for PS3 are mostly single player. It kinda sucks being on OFW 3.60 hopefully a scene release of CFW 3.60 will be coming out soon so at least I can have some fun with emulaters, linux and homebrew apps instead. I was really looking forward to maybe purchasing Socom 4 but for what point. XBL > PSN (Poor Service Network)
