PS3 unable to register trophies after OTHEROS++ update

Hi guys,

I have been unable to play games due to not having trophies being able to be registered since I updated to the 3.55 OTHEROS++ CFW.

I have not made a backup of my trophies before the upgrade, however, I have no interest in my trophies so I'm open to any solution that just make my games work again (while keeping my OTHEROS++ CFW intact of course).

Any ideas?

EDIT:
I tried creating new profiles and to no avail.

I tried deleting the profile folder via multiman file manager then rebuilding database also to no avail.

ERROR CODE IS 80010505

With new install of otheros++cfw, you formated your hdd, so there will be no data from any games or profiles. After formating you start from scratch, erases everything from users. So must be another problem, did you google the error code?

Yes but there weren't a matching error code.

I did both, and to no avail.

I'm maybe thinking of someone creating a blank profile or home folder on the ps3 (no psn, no trophies and all) and upload it and maybe I'll try to FTP into my ps3, then try rebuilding the database.

I still don't understand it. You formatted GameOS so all data from Trophies are gone. They normally are at dev_hddo/home/000001 (or 000002 etc).

And by install OtherOS++ CFW you created a new user. maybe used the same name as before but for the PS3 it is a new user. So it is blanc account with no trophies. Did you install BDEMU again for MM if you use MM for backups? Found some info it might be a payload problem and MM doesn't have it build in anymore. maybe try Gaia to see of something changes?

I'm running from my BR Discs actually. I'm not using any backup managers =(

The older games that don't require trophies work, just that the new ones with trophies have the error of registration of trophies couldn't be completed thing.

Region FW from what I have inspected is the same, I double checked the MD5 of the CFW that I could download.

Could it be because it failed the first time (restoring the cfw) and worked the second time?

If I need to reload the cfw, do I do it via restore again? Will the format remove all the partitioning and maybe the bootloader?

So looks like the CFW needs some patching. =(

Btw, did you put back your home folder just like what your guide suggested and rebuild database?

yes I did. Trophies showed up but starting a game (Like Nier, 97% trophies) results in the same black screen with error.

Only differnce between running from BD and backup is I can see the game continu behind the black screen with MM.

This CFW changed something because I also lost my PSN settings and got a black with red PSN icon I didn't have before. But before, flashing kept my PSN settings and this time it doesn't so that is maybe why it want's to sync.

Format doesn't help, going back to original settings with format doesn't help. Little stuck here. First have dinner, I will see later

And yes people: this happens when I have a clean install and just want to start an original BD. So no trophies and no PSN settings.
