Great to see you've moved your home and brought your followers too!
If you ever get time or see it as possible, could the hex viewer ever become a hex editor? (similar to how PARAM.SFO's are edited maybe?) This would be one of MM's finest features for me and I'm sure for others, would save a lot of time transferring from PC to PS3 just to make a small change. Even still, it's the best SW the PS3 has ever seen! Thanks anyway!

Now we've all moved over to PS3HAX for multiMAN discussion, will all topics be covered in this singular thread? Themes/game covers/movie covers etc?
I can't believe how near perfect multiMAN has become, and how far it's come over the last 9 months. All hail Dean!!!

I think multiMAN has it's own subcategory in the PS3hax threads, so those kinds of topics would probably be best served in their own threads and not this main announcement one. I'm not a mod though, so I'm just guessing.

Ok, finally I managed to replicate the problem with freezing/lock/exit-to-XMB during multiMAN's launch (in about 20-30 seconds). All fixed now:
* Fixed a major issue with lock/exit to XMB during scanning of XMMB columns * Added language files to the repo * Added Arabic language (by silent_4) * Increased number of entries per XMMB column to 3200 multiMAN ver 02.02.00 UPDATE (20110714-142900).pkg (1.07 MB) For those of you who complain that there is no BASE version, here is the latest 02.02.00 with all fixes and all languages. Includes only multiMAN (no covers, themes, sounds, showtime, etc...) multiMAN ver 02.02.00 BASE (20110714-142200).pkg (6.14 MB) |

The update fixes multiMAN exitting to XMB while scanning the Video column. I don't know what issue is that you have. Try to uninstall multiMAN, install 02.02.00 and then the update.
I managed to replicate the 'quit to xmb' bug, but never had a freeze issue with video column. If you have external USB hdd connected - try without it first. *** Can you take a video of what happens? *** Does it lock immediately or after 10-15 seconds... what exactly do you see on screen? |

It hasn't locked or quit to XMB for me, but someone with the problem did post and I suggested unplugging the Ext USB which did solve it as you say.
I suggested it to them because even though mine has never locked etc, it does pause momentarilly and continuously until it has read all the files on my Ext USB. It reminded me of a sync issue I had once on my laptop where it froze with an application (randomly) and it turned out to be that it was just 'falling over' as the application was trying to read all sections at once and for want of a better description 'bottle necked' and froze. Probably no help, but then again it may be? lol Ps Absolutely excellent piece of kit Dean!!
