no not yet, i haven't messed with it but i ll try to fix it will post the results here.

To edit you resolution look here http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=21822
Just press E in Petitboot and edit that line , i replaced 0 with 3 and it booted in 720p , much better than 1080i . The change is not permanent though , you have to do it every time . If you find a way to make it perm let me know

thanks man. gave that a shot, same problem. video all distorted. it's not a resolution issue, something else.

petitboot is actually fine, but about 75-80% of the way through the bootup text, around where it says "[searching] for screen modes" or something, the text all of a sudden warps out into this blocky/unreadable stuff. i'm stumped...

All you have to do is change the kboot.conf file to make it permanent like my post in the resolution thread you quoted says?
be sure to start leafpad editor in admin mode with the sudo leadpad command

Ah ok, so the petitboot screen itself is ok without errors....

Does it happen if you try to live boot the CD or did you already install RR and possibly the update?

has anyone actually got the wifi card working on this distro? i uses Wicd which is plagued with bugs on wifi.

What I was wondering was after your distro is installed on otheros 3.55, will the _ony ps3 add on distros (CELL-Linux-CL_xxxxxxxx-ADDON.iso released for the ps3 when we had linux on ps3's before 3.15, install and work would you know?

My reason is I have a ps3 with yellow-dog 6.2 on 3.15 cfw. and wish to use linux on 3.55.
