For $250 I'd do it, but then they cannot force you to stick to it anyways as Sony do not issue a licence to create homebrew on the PS3 (as far as I am aware?) so for PSX_Scene to legally enforce it they must admit to making a gain from the PS3 without Sonys permission and licence (gain does not have to be monetary in the eyes of the law)

also i bet if you would create something, and sony would go after you, they would be the first to give your full details in order for sony to sue you.

$250 is the daily rate of a standard developer.
So you should make an homebrew in a day :P |

I let the public know the sad facts of drama from a little while ago, once I resigned at MOD there because they found out I was helping out on PS3Crunch, I got alot of emails from the new admins, to try to get me back to 'ex-scene' as long as I signed a bunch of ironclad paperwork, they would throw me $500 a month into my paypal account, to only post there and no place else. I will and never will be anyone's little *****. -- Truth be told I once even got a job offer from Sony but that was long time ago, the last company I worked for was Texas Instruments, since then I been on my own, and even when I walked away from them, I took my WORK with me, I made the big corp. bend over and sign me back my RIGHTS. -- HEHE! |

I have to say that I agree with everyone. This screams of a bribe as you have to keep it exclusive to them. It's a last ditch effort to bribe people into coming back to their site and developing for them. They are doing this because all the developers have left them. The most recent ones being Square and his team.(That I know of.) So yes this is a last ditch effort to bring some quality back to their site.
