i hope there is non solderless version soon i dont know how to solder things on the play slim , its awsome to have a hardware mod but i hope soon a way for people like me , i am not lazy to do it but i cant

does anyone know where to get a Teensy++ 2.0 in the uk , i cant find anywhere just mainly in the usa . wanna downgrade my slim and have my fat ps3 online cos i wanna build a ps3 laptop like pirates but not with water cooling system . my laptop blew up lol so thought instead of buying a new laptop i build one from my slim ps3 and use linux deul boot for surfing the net etc

At least probably not by me. But provided that the board got enough IO pins, it might be fairly simple.

I think that not possible for Avr Gold... Not enough IO pins...

So... Just wait for a tutorial and maybe buy a real teensy.

I have just a doubt: you said...
There are no modifications to the Teensy itself required. Don't install any power regulators,
don't cut any traces.

DON'T CONNECT THE VCC SOLDER PADS TO ANYTHING!
So you are flashing nor chip with the 5v from usb???? i am pretty sure you will destroy it doing that.

Contrariwise, i saw in your pics that you soldered the nor VCC testpoint, and also the Teensy VCC pad is soldered :P

I am a little bit confused, can you explain that?

You need to power on the PS3 to dump/write the NOR. The power for the NOR is supplied by the PS3 itself.
