i just tried this. didn't work with filezilla. with smartFTP it works but the average speed is 23mb only :bebored: |

No you can't because you cant put the FTP pkg on your ps3 to do it ,sorry

You will need another PS3's tho, with cfw installed and blackbox installed. But you can run blackbox FTP on a stock ps3. |

The way I send large files over to my ps3 is with a crossover cable, ps3ftp and filezilla. If you don't have a cross over cable you can google a DIY crossover cable and make one.

you dont need a cross over cable a normal ethernet cable will do too

My method is direct from PC to PS3 and as far as I know the PS3 doesn't have any form of auto mdix like on Cisco routers so its required, unless your NIC in your computer has it. This method is the fastest way I have come up with.

also the ps3 can reconnise if your using a crossover cable or a ethernet cable

Hmm so the ps3 does have a auto mdix like feature? didn't know, when I initially setup the link I was using what I know from networking classes. And just connected them the way that made most sense and the way I know would work, like I said I didn't know the ps3 had auto mdix like feature so yeah... I will configure it with a straight through later to see if it will work, as I only have one cross over and would like to use it for other projects.
