Honestly, and no disrespect, what is the purpose of this to the ps3 scene?
Are Administrators around here just front posting news, just to have something new to post every day?
I rather have a piece of news every now and then, than to come here and read articles like this one every day, which (to me) have nothing to do with the ps3 scene.

Its for PS3 developers - the people that actually make homebrew for you on the PS3.

Very nice job there. This is something that a lot of homebrew developers have been waiting. Optimizing for the SPU will be a a lot easier with this tool at the right hand. Cant wait to see some more multi-core Applications. Like showtime player running on SPUs.

Honestly, it seems you don't know what you are talking about. The answer to you first question is clearly quoted.

If it wasn't for stuff like this that gets done, and other research projects the PS3 Scene would not exist, first we need to investigate, understand, code, and then we have a result, but what you expect, is the last thing to come, always.

I believe this was a good news thread , I hope more stuff like this keep coming, and I hope there is some research about the PS3 FileSystem too at some point, is something that is left in the shadows atm, it could open many doors in the PS3 homebrew development (its not a priority tho').

SeeYa!
^^
