there will be no CFW for above 3.56 you will have to hope for a exploit of some other sort. Sony fixed it so we can'r make CFW for PS3s on 3.56+. yes we may be able to make a CFW 3.56+ but it will only install for those on 3.55 or lower, no ifs, ands, or buts about it.

people still wont listen mate , ive said that before and day later they still asking somethink there been told not possible . there blind as as bat when it somethink they dont want to hear , but when its somethink they like they eye and ears are wide open then they understand ya lol

If they keep asking ,they either want to get on psn to do modded lobbys ,or get the dlc from ps store ,or play the new games = I believe most are kids & they just want to do modded lobbys = They have low activity on PS3HaX & few posts & crappy personality's & to get on psn to cheat ! I am not saying everyone ! Most that cant get this through there head & seem very immature are the one that most likely want to cheat online !! once or if a new CFW was released you will never see them here again ! Untill it gets patched = no psn access again = Come here again crying about a new cfw! Only thing a NEW CFW is good for is 2 play new games + To get on psn store only !! no online gaming ! Since we know how that went ?

Me i would like psn just for dlc. As you can see i am not freaking out about a new CFW. I HAVE NOT ONE POST OF ME ASKING, IS THERE IS GOING TO BE A NEW CFW IN 6+ MONTHS !! Most should have a second ps3,if the want CFW or just update ! Or have CFW & stay offline happy like my self ! = Patient !
If you are upset about me commenting here like this ,i understand if you have no money to buy a ps3 on lower firmware =Most people lie & say this so the can download games or want to get on PSN to cheat = Just look on YoTube & this will show you how many kids showed off cheating! When there was psn access = They ruined psn access for the PS store 4 all of us ! They created so much attention of cheating online it became known to the whole world !
I blame the youtube users for 75% of no psn access on CFW !

I updated incidentally and I am on 3.66. My blu ray is gone. I dont care to play online but my console is now for trash. because I cant play any game. is there any hope or i have to throw the console?

Okay, speaking as an armchair programmer here(and one with little programming understanding, especially of the ps3's hard/firmware). please forgive me

Based upon what we know of Sony's programming model for ps3 firmware, IF we can find the 3.6 public keys, and IF we could create software capable of running from a 3.6 firmware of some sort that the ps3 thinks is a game, how much access would it have to the lower levels of GAMEOS/hardware?

would it have access to the private keys in some way or to anything else useful for devs? i dont ask this about piracy, im merely curious. and before anyone says "WHAT ARE YOU, EFFING, STUPID, OF COURSE NOT, SONY ISN'T STUPID ENOUGH TO LEAVE SUCH GLARING HOLES IN THEIR CODE!!! DUUHH, STUPID N0000000000BBBBB!!!", we really cant assume anything until it's been tried. and besides, i never would have guessed it would have been so easy to social engineer the kind of information out of that tool kevin butler that someone apparently did i mean, i knew the CHARACTER was a moron, but i would have thought the actor/people who sent the actual tweet/text/whatever would have been smarter than that ¬_¬#

You can always send the console to me for free instead of throwing it in the trash. I have a couple of working Blueray drives and I wouldn't mind having another PS3 to play with. :D
