hi folks
I find the whole jail break thing really confussing but main reason
am intrested is i brought a orginal 60 gb ps3 and i know should not tryed to update but i did as i knew blu ray was broken . is there anyway i can use jail break to fix so it can by pass the blu ray drive been broken and get my ps3
so i can actually use it at moment cant its got like 4.15 sony firmware
i pawned my other 2 working ps3s so stuck and cant afford to fix the blu ray drive

am not even sure how to dl the files or if its even possible i dont want for anything esle and only tryed update becase wanted to get into my ps3 account to get my free games and dl games ive already brought

Format the HDD and put it back in. Fixed.

but my ps3 is stuck in update loop i thought rom had been wiped of previous firmware

You take the HDD out, put it inside of another PS3 or your PC, format it and put it back into the PS3

if the problem is as you said a broken bdvd (does the update stop at about 85% then loop) then you can get blue ray dvd drive bypass firmware. these are made by warren
