but doesnt leaks and even "hints" keep this scene going? giving ppl as much info as posible can only be for the better. there must be ppl out there dumping and reversing (or trying to) there ps3 software and not getting anywhere as they do not know what to look for. so hinting (or leaking) info then they can see what has been found and progress on it? look at how slynk went with the qa flag hint i know the end result wasn't what most (me included) was hoping for but just look how everyone pulled together to figure it out. now that is what a scene is about! if that was a leak i'm sure there would have been no difference in how ppl worked together. to the progskeet lads this is fantastic news your really helping the scene to move forward with your great product. |

The only reason I can see is that the scene give Sony a chance to see how they think and gives them an oportunity to fix the weaknesses etc..

Sorry, but something we don't need are so called "Devs" who decide, what information has to be a scret and which information can be shared.
Sad times - we live in a time, where "sharing information" became a bad thing. |

Exactly, it's a bit retarded. First everybody (and I mean EVERYBODY) complains about information being kept and shared only in the "elite circles" or whatever and once it's out, it turns to be a bad thing so now you got a bunch of two-facers who are looking down on everybody else even though they complained about the same crap right untill a few days ago.
You gotta love it. |

Now come on guys, stop thinking you deserve every damn thing, get out of this mind set that is starting to retard many internet users. I wonder who that dig is at, i sure as hell never moaned about information being kept secret :/ |

Greg has a fair and valid point.
The SDK is only 'needed' by super devs. PSLight is the SDK for normal devs. Some stuff wasnt leaked that maybe could have been... while other stuff is leaked that shouldnt have. This can be argued all day (and has been... lol) I'm certain that the people that matter and could make use of a the latest SDK had it a long time ago.
