No, I don't have Cobra dongle nor cobra firmware.

I don't know from where you deducted that multiMAN "should/would" work with this firmware. The warning message clearly informs you that you are running multiMAN on a PS3 with unsupported firmware. I wouldn't have included such checks and warnings if they were not necessary.

multiMAN is designed to work with any future firmware, provided it supports PEEK&POKE syscalls (6/7) - and that is only if you wish to load a game backup. All other functions are ok, no matter what firmware you have.

When you start your PS3 without the cobra dongle you get the plain old 3.55 OFW (or 3.41OFW), which naturally does not support syscalls 6 and 7.

Dean
It seems that Cobra dongle uses SC-35 PL3 .. I installed latest Multiman and plugged the dongle . What are the disadvantages of SC-35 compared to SC-36 and Hermes ?

If you disable/enable FTP server, the new setting will be applied the next time you start multiMAN.

If you see a flashing FTP icon it means that there are actual TCP connections to your PS3 on port 21.

I know Dean, and I have it turned off. If I connect to ps3 with ftp with it off it still connects, but dose not show the root of the drive's.

Very strange, I take it it will show other ftp servers running or just yours. It only happen after I upgraded but after your message to install from xmb, it closed but saying I still have ftp ports open, So I was thinking the update is not closing the client. Sorry dude its baffling unless I have a rouge app running a ftp server.
Thanks

Maybe someones playing with your updates Dean, and giving a helping hand. lol. Dean sorry to ask and I hope you don't mind can you download the update from the update server and see if its the same as you up loaded?

Because I have ports open that should not be, a server running that should not be, any ideas before I start uninstalling apps. thanks again.
