From the description I didnt think I would like it very much. I must admit its pretty cool. Good job man. The power/eject 'buttons' not working any more would bother me but if you can live with it then more power to you. If I were you I'd try to fix them, make sure you didnt get any paint on the surface that your fingers touch and if you did then try using a solution to clean the paint off or really really fine sandpaper.

Yeah...silver is a retro color; back in the late 1990's everything was silver. Actually, your system reminds me of my old PS2...except my PS2 didn't have the blue accents.
If you ever actually need to use the physical buttons for something other than turning the system off after a game locks up, you can always pop the cover off and touch the metal contacts under the faceplate directly.

 there ARE pics in post 4 but Ill add them to the OP as wellI think ill pull off the cover and see why the buttons dont work. I want this to be perfect.
