Swastika/Nazi Symbol On News Posts

I am making this article, out of perhaps anger, anger caused by people having the inability to understand the simplest of things, getting butt hurt over the use of a symbol.

I have been using the term "Nazi" and Nazi symbols in conjunction with Sony since they removed the OtherOS function, what p*sses me off is that people cant /wont/refuse to understand my meaning behind it, now of course there are those of you that have intelligence and understand why i do it and also understand that no offense was/is meant by it, now to bring to you, these statements by uneducated members and my response to them:

I do not see what is racist about a point of view, that Sony are modern day Nazi's

ya I've been called worse than a jackass before, man that hurts.

and its posts like that that will spell the end for this site.
Not sure where you by chance grabbed that link, but its quite obvious that you did not read it, or you wouldn't be so upset, over a simple symbol.

Until the Nazis used this symbol, the swastika was used by many cultures throughout the past 3,000 years to represent life, sun, power, strength, and good luck.

Perhaps i could turn it around, to your unhealthy obsession with moaning about a symbol and people calling something they dislike a Nazi, is hardly Neo Nazism, try and teach yourself the difference, i know in your case, it might be extremely hard, but just try, for the sake of yourself and any children you may have, as they really don't need to grow up with your hate and prejudices.

There is a difference in reading something and understanding something, whilst of course you claim to have read the statements, it is pretty damn clear that you lack the ability to understand them.

  • So we shouldn't use a Japanese flag/symbols, because they killed people at Pearl Harbour.
  • Or we shouldn't use an American Flag/symbols, because they killed hundred's of thousands of people in Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Vietnam, Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan and many more places i have not mentioned.
  • Or we should not use the British Flag/symbols because they were responsible for the brutal murders of thousands of Irish people.
  • We could go onto the use of Soviet flags/symbols and how several thousand people died under the soviet regime, in the Gulags of Siberia.
  • We could speak about the use of the Israeli flag and how it shouldn't be use as the Israelis brutally murder Palestinians on a regular basis.
I could go on and on and on about this, but i have the ability and intelligence to understand that a flag is a flag, a symbol is a symbol, nothing more, nothing less.

I find it ironic, that you ay that people are "childish", when you swear and insult people.

It's just 2 trolls s**t stirring. Anyone with half a brain understands why the swastika is an appropriate symbol for Sony's actions.

Let's not get all PSX-scene over here now

LoL...I am amazed they actually spelled "childish" correctly...clearly they are working on very few brain cells. I guess an eagle would also be an insult...because it was the animal that was always holding the Swastika on Nazi monuments. Also, the Nazis used brick to make roads...so bricks are evil. And the Nazis were human, therefor they are mammals the same as dolphins...so dolphins are a sign of evil as well.

Yeah...the Nazis were evil for killing people that they called "subhuman", but they were also evil for the restrictions and rules applied to the members of their, "Master Race". I think Hitler would be proud to be associated with a Japanese firm that spends more time and money on censorship and the removal of civil liberties than they do on R&D.

As for Hindu persons, they have no reason to be offended...their Swastika goes the other way.

I am hindu, and by no means offended by this whatsoever, in fact I support it. GregoryRasputin, I like the picture of the symbol

Its the ultimate symbol of dictatorship and that is the only reason it is used. It has nothing to do with racism or the atrocities committed.

Anyone with a problem with it in regards to this has read too far into it and as Greg said hasn't understood why it is used

Can those with a problem come up with a better symbol of dictatorship that displays totalitarian control over consumers?

Sony HAVE become dictators and ARE oppressing those that they feel are under THEIR RULE and even those who are obviously not.

Tell you what, lets ban all things to do with the "symbol" ?
Lets ban movies, games, TV shows, rememberence day etc........
Maybe then that would let these people rest easy.

None of those scream out dictatorship though

Swastika is globally recognised as such

To me those just represent arrogance for the us flag, communism for the other flags, and brand names

If the last flag was better known, it would be a much better symbol. There is also a symbol for the DMCA, but again...it isn't well known.

How about this symbol...it is well known and it actually sends a shiver down my spine (the Swastika doesn't even do that):

BTW...does that looks like an eagle threatening to punch you to anyone else?
