-backed up video, tv and music folders from /dev_hdd0/tmp/explore/xil/

-Since files were already there I DID NOT;
edit xRegistry.sys http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php...=xRegistry.sys
in dev_flash2/etc/ and goto the line /settings/xmb/tvCategory and replace 00000000 with 00000001 ,
save and open again to check.
and also overwrite the backups of xRegistry.sys in
dev_flash2/etc/backup/
and dev_flash2/etc/activation/ and the backup folder dev_flash2/etc/activation/backup/

-Ftp'd nd copied over the three folders in /dev_hdd0/tmp/explore/xil/ with the new folders from the zip file.

-Returned to XMB nd nothing new is there. Everything is same as before.

Any help Greatly apprecited.

With The xRegistry.sys file where it says value do you have to chnge the 0 to 1 and then you
upload this saved file to
-dev_flash2/etc/
-dev_flash2/etc/activation/
-dev_flash2/etc/activation/backup/
replacing all of the original xRegistry.sys files within these folders?

for /setting/xmb/tvcategory
checksum=A8BC
value=1
Flags=0000

change the value= 00000000 to 000000001 , my checksum=EC69 if it doesnt work i am sorry.. thanks for trying your best.

and backing up means copying folders so you have them if you want to revert back.

1) I don't see 00000000 it just had one zero for the value?
2) after I edit this file do I overwrite the x.registry.sys within the following folders
-dev_flash2/etc/
-dev_flash2/etc/activation/
3)dev_flash2/etc/activation/backup/ dos not have a x.registry.sys file

Can a packaged file be made for this to work?

i took a screenshot of my xreg highlighting the line.

not sure about making this into a .pkg , if we can work out why its not working on other cfw's that would be a good start..

Where are all the locations that you put the modified xRegistry.sys file?

@Newbietester : You over write the originals located @ /dev_flash2/etc/ and also /dev_flash2/etc/backup. Make a backup of your originals first obviously.

I think its because we are missing the tv files, I could be wrong but I have a backup of the needed files plus some edits I did on the xml files somewhere. with added channels but forgot about it. I maybe wrong but changing the reg will not add the iplayer or catchup tv in the xmb.

Sorry if I'm talking out my ass.

Edit samson I mist were you said this 1st, sorry I think I just repeated what you said. doh.

the files are in the first post, just a rule of thumb always read the first post, and thats kinda the idea of this plus adding
a very cool online file converter (youtube to mp3/avi and pdf to flash)
homebrew downloads
online login for filmflex
watch online for love film and lots other neat stuff. without the need of installing a bunch of pkgs to get all of this, and with no restrictions on the webbrowser.

also you can go from one to the next via the ps button
