Hardware revisions have nothing to do with it.

PSN - I don't see what is has to do with running/playing a 3.60+ app/game.

Playing a title in off-line mode has nothing to do with PSN and I don't understand why the PSN topic is always brought up.

To play a regular title/game is not related to PSN anyway.

Hi all i'm a new member and from Portugal, so sorry for any mistakes writing.

I'm also new to psbrking (bought dongle about 8 months ago) and recently my girlfriend bought me driver: san francisco that requires fw3.66.


I have some questions:

I didn't install the fw that comes with the game, did i do the right thing?

I understand that the dongle spoofs to version 3.55. will it spoof from 3.66 to 3.55?

Am I using the right thing to play backups or should i install/buy something else?


In July, I have read a post that a guy called no_one had gone on vacation( you all probably know about that already) for 3 weeks and haven't heard anything else since.

Has he had some problems coming back ( like a flat tire or so ) or was he bull...ing?

driver san francisco requires OFW 3.66+. There is no way to play this game on CFW at the moment. you could use the E3 flasher, see more here: http://www.ps3hax.net/?s=e3+flasher

I don't understand... if they managed to create a USB MODCHIP like the one i own, for 3.41, why is it necessary to buy that hardware and learn to solder?

I'm starting to think that the best way is trash the dongle and buy original games...

Learn to solder it's optional no one is forcing you to learn something probably you don't want to, if you want to solder something to a PS3 like E3 flasher, Progskeet,etc. The options that each *chip* give you once installed = totally awesome.
It's not an easy solution, but it's a solution for someone willing to risk his/her console.
Not easy way out of this..no dongle, no nothing for the moment.

You can be legit always, even a *pirate* have some legit games. The choice is yours.

ive actually stopped logging on here everyday because it gets old reading people asking for 3.60+ keys/cfw everyday. Ive kinda lost interest in my hacked ps3 and am just looking forward to all these new games coming out. I have like a 100 backed up games on my hacked ps3 and it's funny because they all bore me. Nowadays im only playing on my updated PS3 with friends online. Didnt even turn on my hacked ps3 all weekend. Battlefield 3 beta and Classic Zombies on Blackops is all i play on ps3 these days. Ill add Dark Souls to those games starting tomorrow.

Ive just lost interest in the scene until some major developments go down. The PS1 thing is cool but it will be way better when u can mount ps1 and ps2 images from a hdd
